Annual Sports Meet 2022

" *The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.”* The Annual Sports Meet embodies in YBIS with the zeal, talent and Spirit of Sportsmanship of students to be persistent and to refine their talents, achieving the greatest of height. After a hiatus of two years of COVID-19 pandemic the much awaited Sports Meet was hosted on 25th November 2022 on BKC ground. The most anticipated event of the year commenced with escorting of the distinguished chief guest Mr. Ashok Dabholkar Sir - Kranti Ratna National Award winner and our Honourable Executive Chairman - Mr. Achyut Sawantbhonslae Sir, Chair Person - Mrs. Asmita Sawantbhonslae Mam, Secretary - Mr. Sanjeev Desai sir, Administrative Coordinator - Mrs. Sunetra Phatak mam, Member - Mrs. Sanika Desai mam. YBIS winners of various competitions at District level and State level performed the lighting of torch followed by March Past by House groups. Oath taking ceremony took place by Sports Vice Captain Miss. Vaishnavi Shelatkar pledging to uphold the honour and spirit of true sportsmanship. Students participated in various events like running, hurdle race, zig zag race, skipping race, relay race, tug of war, etc. Various house wise drills were performed by students. Upnext the winners were felicitated with certificates and medals of excellence. Mrs. Priyanka Desai and Mrs. Sonali Shetty did the anchoring of the whole programme and Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Nidhi Sawnt. The whole gathering sung the National Anthem with immense pride and marked the splendorous end of the event.

Cold Cooking Competition @ YBIS

#Cooking Up Change Cooking up Change is a dynamic program that challenges high school culinary students to create healthy school meals that taste great and appeal to their fellow students. Yashwantrao Bhonsale International School believes in creating responsible citizens. Hence, as a part of World Vegetarian Day and under “Rashtria Poshan Aahar” campaign organized by Maharashtra State Health Department, YBIS students got engaged themselves in some culinary skills to bring awareness on healthy eating and reduce wastage. The objective of this celebration was to promote awareness and action to inculcate healthy food habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the growing children. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth-watering a Fireless Cooking. The participants explained the specialty of their food and also the importance of balance diet for maintaining good health and keeping diseases away. The event gave a platform to the students to demonstrate their culinary knowledge and skills related to: developing and following a recipe, preparation of a dish, and displaying the dish before a judging panel where it will be evaluated on flavor, taste and palatability. In all 70 students from Classes IV to VI participated wholeheartedly in the event. Their efforts were evaluated on the basis of five parameters: i) Dish name, ii)Taste, iii) Presentation, iv) Calorie content and v)Hygiene. Participants infused lots of creativity and served delicious eatables to enhance the taste buds. Here the participant had to prepare an eatable without using the fire. So the participants served plates of Bhel puri, Chaat, sandwiches, shakes, Mojito, Chocolate lollypop, and many more. Competition started at 9:30a.m Sharp. One hour was given for preparation and 15 minutes for presentation. Judging panel comprised of Honorable Dr. Vaishali Deshpande (Ex- Principal of Pharmacy College, Kolhapur), Honorable Mr. Prasanna Kode(Chef , Nutritionist, Owner of KP- Kitchen Prasanna chains of Hotels and Resorts) and Honorable Mrs. Priya Dalvi (Dietitian in Cottage Hospital Sawantwadi )

Swachhata Pakhwada

Swachhata Pakhawada was celebrated with great enthusiasm in YBIS Campus. Different activities like hand wash drive, Elocution Competition, Drawing Competition, Cleanliness Pledge were taken under the guidance of Cleanliness Committee.

Janmashtami & Gopalkala celebration @ YBIS

*Janmashtami festival and Gopalkala* was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students of YBIS . The occasion was celebrated by singing devotional song and presenting dance performances with the great joy. Students of YBIS came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna . A splendidly colourful program was organised by the children and staff members under the guidance of Principal. Mythological stories on Krishna and Radha were narrated to the students followed by the most awaited event of breaking the Handi. The students were overjoyed when the handi was broken to grace the occasion. The event was hosted by the Head Girl and Head Boy and got concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Cultural Secretary of the school.

76th Independence Day Celebration

76th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at BKC campus. Our Executive Chairman Hon. Achyut Sawantbhonsale Sir hoisted the national flag. All management members Secretary Sanjeev Desai Sir, Member Mrs. Sanika Desai Madam, Administrative Coordinator Mrs. Sunetra Phatak Madam, Principals of all the institutions, Head of the departments, all teaching and non-teaching staff and students of all the institutions were present for the ceremony.

Investiture Ceremony of Student Council 2022-23

The ‘Investiture Ceremony’ for academic year 2022-23 was held on 13th August 2022 with great solemnity. There was an aura of expectancy as the beaming faces of the selected student council members marched into the gathering. The occasion was attended by the proud parents of the elected Student Council Members, where the latter were bestowed upon with the responsibility and they received their prestigious badges and sash from the chief guest Respected Mr M.Jagadish Sir. Hon. Mrs Asmita SawantBhonsale President BKC, Hon. Mr Sanjeev Desai,Secretary BKC Hon Mr Vijay Jagtap principal YBCP, Hon. Mr Satyajeet Sathe principal YBDP, and Hon.
